There has been a buzz at the Arabian Horse Shows lately and that has been the increase in the working western divisions and it is obvious that the trend will continue.  Region IX saw an increase of fifty percent in the entries of the Half Arabian Working Cow Horses at their 2005 Regionals; at the 2005 US Nationals there was a thirty percent increase in the Purebred Working Cow; an eighty percent increase in the Half Arabian working cow, an eighty percent increase in purebred reining and a twenty-five percent increase from the previous year.  Membership in the Arabian Reining Horse Association has doubled with regards to Youth members and increases every year for adults.   Couple that with the award money that is now being offered and it is making amateurs, trainers and breeders take note.
