working pedigrees on the ranch broodmares Terry expects that the quality of Colonel Freckles, the speed and beauty of Jesse James and the fantastic Rocket Wrangler bred mares will create some of the most serious competitors in the years to come.

“My second quarter horse was a professional cutting horse and he got me hooked on the speed factor” Dianna Stanger explains.  “When you sit on a good cutting or working cow horse you can feel the power beneath you and it can throw you back in the saddle or over the horn!  Couple that with the fact that it is you and your horse working together; not just doing a class where you do three gaits each way. My adrenaline rushes each time I am on a good work horse and wish that more people could experience just how much of a sport it is."

The working western encompasses several different divisions- Reining, Working Cow and Cutting are recognized by the Arabian Horse Association and have US National Championships. Getting started is as easy as having a registered Arabian or Half Arabian horse and the necessary memberships in order to show in AHA recognized shows. Wolf Point Ranch currently trains all classes of working horses; the ranch also trains several Quarter horses that are active on the show circuit. With the outdoor working cow pens, the multitude of ranch bred Brangus cattle available and stable facility Wolf Point offers training for the serious competitor. Currently Wolf Point Ranch is standing the black Arabian Stallion, Trick R Treat who is a US and Canadian National Reining Champion, US Top Ten Working Cow horse and currently the top earner for the Arabian Cutting Open, Novice Horse and Amateur.
